Penlan had to wait until their first game of December for their first league win when they were at home to Glais. Still suffering from depleted numbers they were thankful to see Captain Adam Glover back on the bench after injury. It was a hard first half for Penlan as they struggled to settle down with some players in new positions, during which Glais breached their defence at the 10 minute mark to score a converted try. Adam Glover came on for the second half and Penlan got back to business. After 3 minutes they clawed back 3 points from a penalty and then at 10 minutes they landed their own converted try to give them the narrow 10 - 7 lead. Both teams battled the weather conditions to make further headway but there was to be no more score until the final whistle. A win for Penlan at last and Glais had to settle for a losing bonus point. The true loyalty of the remaining Penlan players is showing through as the club manages to play games under difficult odds. Penlan's next game will be away to Cwmgors on 15th. December which will be another close test for them.
