FINE PENLAN WIN IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE BOWL

Penlan put on a good display of rugby on Saturday against Llandybie in the first round of the WRU Bowl Competion.  A full team was fielded with missing players now available from last week, though they took the first half to get into their stride.  Llandybie kicked off with Llanelli referee, Mr. Julian Thomas managing the game.  At half time it was a 7 all draw from a Llandybie penalty try and a converted try from Penlan.

In the second half Llandybie scored a second try, which went unconverted, but Penlan had stepped up their pressure to gain their own penalty try, a penalty and third converted try gave them an impressive 24 - 12 win at the final whistle.
